#BlokesUnited is a ground breaking mental health project which is supporting men in Hull and East Riding achieve better mental health through turn up and play sport and support groups.
#BlokesUnited is for blokes and is run by blokes, it offers support and assistance in a relaxed and casual atmosphere with a healthy sprinkling of humour and banter included.
The project allows men to talk freely and openly about a number of topics with the participants themselves setting the agenda. #BlokesUnited is very much a positive group with the focus on tackling the everyday problems that can sometimes lead to major breakdowns. It is delivered in a non-clinical, non-judgmental environment with peer support encouraged.
Currently we deliver a bi weekly turn up and play football session and two support groups in Hull and Hornsea with no pre-registration or notification required. New for 2017
We are proud to announce that from January 2017 #BlokesUnited will be partnering with both of the city’s professional Rugby League clubs. Hull KR and Hull FC will be delivering a weekly touch rugby session and two #BlokesUnited support groups. We also have plans in place with Yorkshire CCC to deliver #BlokesUnited turn up and play cricket in summer of next year.
