We are excited to announce that we have extended the hours of our Information and Advice Line to 24 hours a day to support local people who may be finding things difficult during the current Covid-19 crisis.
The service, which originally ran from 9am-5pm Monday-Friday has now been extended as part of a joint partnership between Hull and East Yorkshire Mind and Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust.
The Information and Advice Line is there for people across Hull and East Yorkshire who are struggling with their mental health, or would just like information, advice or local signposting information.
Emma Dallimore, Chief Executive at Hull and East Yorkshire Mind said:
“We support over 5000 people a year with their mental health, but know that there are many more that need our help especially at this worrying time. Working with our partner, Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust we will be able to reach more people and ensure that anyone experiencing a mental health problem gets both the support and respect they deserve – at any time of the day.”
Paul Johnson, Clinical Care Director for Mental Health Services at Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust said:
“This is a powerful opportunity to work with our valued partner Hull and East Yorkshire Mind, to improve the local support for people who may be struggling with their mental health and wellbeing. This extended service will help people access helpful guidance and services, any time of day, when needed for ongoing support and interventions within the wider community.
This initiative is in line with other planned developments to improve access to support across the Hull and East Riding region, as we are aware that these services are needed now, more than ever, in response to the COVID-19 outbreak.”
