Our #Bekind Campaign- Being Kind to others

It’s Mental Health Awareness Week and we’ve launched our brand new #Bekind campaign!

This year, the theme for Mental Health Awareness Week is kindness, so we want to use this as an opportunity to remind people to be kind to others, and to be kind to themselves.

Kindness can have a huge impact on our mental health and wellbeing. Research shows that helping others can be highly beneficial to our mental health. It can reduce stress, improve our emotional wellbeing and even benefit our physical health too.

As part of the #BeKind campaign, we are challenging you to take action and carry out a random act of kindness for someone else. Here are some ideas:

  • Run an errand for someone who cannot leave their home during isolation
  • Leave a comment on a friend’s social media post asking how they are
  • Thank the checkout staff when you go shopping at the supermarket

For more ideas we have developed some free downloadable resources which are available here, https://heymind.org.uk/MHAW

We really hope you can get involved in our #BeKind campaign. Why not pick one and make it your goal to complete today? We would love to know how you get on, why not share your kindness on social media using #BeKind @MindHEY
