We are happy to share that Elloughton Blackburn FC is our first Platinum Community Partner. Following various fundraising and awareness initiatives, the club continues to support our work both on and off the pitch and we couldn’t be more proud of this partnership.
Conleth Campbell, Club President of Elloughton Blackburn FC, said:
“It’s an honour to receive this award on behalf our players, coaches, committee members and supporters who should be proud of the difference they’re making. 1 in 4 people will experience a mental health problem. It’s an issue very close to the heart of our club members and something that we have committed to support.” Our partnership has meant coaches across all our 30 teams are trained to spot the signs and symptoms of mental health issues and know what to do if they see a player needs support. We’ll continue to raise money to help make sure people affected by mental health and their families have somewhere to turn for support.”
Marie-Louise Robinson, Community Fundraiser at Hull and East Yorkshire Mind said:
“On behalf of everyone at Hull and East Yorkshire Mind, I would like to say a massive thank you to everyone at Elloughton Blackburn FC for their continued support of our charity. This award is a true testament to the achievements of the club, players, coaches and fans. 1 in 4 people will experience a mental health problem in any given year, and by working together, we can ensure that more people, both on and off the pitch, can get the support and respect they deserve.”
