The Lord Mayor of Kingston upon Hull’s
Charity Play Evening
Wednesday 23 November – 7.30pm
The Guildhall, Hull
The Tattershall Castle is a Hull WW2 play named after the old Humber Ferry. The play takes us from Hessle Road to The Avenues and is about a young couple who part in The Blitz and reunite years later in the swinging sixties. It contains some true memories of people who lived through The Blitz and are living in Hull today. There is also a singer singing songs and old footage which add to the atmosphere of the time.
This play written by local writer Catherine Derrick was the runner up in The All England Theatre Festival (Northern) at Bridlington Spa in April. It was also the winner of the best actor, best actress and best sound awards and was nominated for the best director.
The Tattershall Castle will be making its seventh performance this year at The Guildhall Hull for the Lord Mayor’s Charity Play Evening.
