We will be holding 2 free workshops for parents and carers who are wanting to learn more about supporting children and young people with their mental health.
Every year 1 in 10 young people will experience a mental health problem. For young people this can be due to many different situations and unfamiliar challenges like exams, relationships and the other pressures of growing up.
The two workshops will run on World Mental Health Day (10th October) and will cover topics such as:
- Talking to young people about their feelings
- Self-harm
- The impact of social media on mental health.
Our free workshops will help you to know more about supporting young people with their mental health, and know more about what support is available locally.
The workshops will be taking place at 9:30am and 1:30pm at our offices in Hull and will last 2 hours.
