Hull FC are proud to unveil their 2025 charity jersey, proudly supporting local mental health charity Hull and East Yorkshire Mind as the club aims to highlight the importance of their work across the region.
The limited-edition jersey will be worn during the club’s annual Charity Fixture against Leigh Leopards at the MKM Stadium on Saturday 16th August at the MKM Stadium, and is on sale online now at hullfcshop.com and in store from 9.00am on Saturday.
Founded in 1976, Hull and East Yorkshire Mind has been supporting people with their mental health and wellbeing for almost half a century, and will celebrate their 50th birthday in 2026.
Mental health and wellbeing remains at the heart of everything Hull and East Yorkshire Mind do, and are committed to providing high quality, accessible, and person-centred support, with their services designed to be inclusive, non-judgmental, and confidential, ensuring that people feel safe and supported throughout their mental health journey.
Alongside supporting over local people with their mental health, Hull and East Yorkshire Mind works with the wider community and partners to change the way people think and act about mental health, to reduce the stigma and discrimination that many people still face – through their campaigns and events, including their charity partnership with the Black & Whites, Hull and East Yorkshire Mind aim to educate people about mental health, and support and empower those who are struggling to reach out and get the help they need and deserve.
Hull and East Yorkshire Mind supports over 25,000 local people every year with their mental health – that’s the capacity of the MKM Stadium, answering over 40,000 calls in 2024.
Produced by merchandise partners Castore®, the full kit features the charity’s eye-catching deep blue and hot pink colours with the HEY Mind logo taking pride of place of the front of the shirt.
The design features a series of straight lines, with one out of every four lines being misaligned to represent the key statistic that one in four people in the UK will experience mental health challenges each year, illustrating the reality that mental health struggles can cause individuals to feel out of sync and that mental health issues may not always be visible.
The shirt also features inspiring quotes from our first-team players, woven into the design, reminding both players and fans of the importance of support, vulnerability, and support, and encourages conversations about mental health.
Jack Moore, Hull and East Yorkshire Mind’s Group Marketing and Communications Manager said:
“We’re thrilled to team up with Hull FC for this year’s Charity Fixture and to see the players proudly pulling on a shirt that champions mental health in our community.
Rugby League is built on teamwork, resilience, and looking out for each other – the same values that are so important when it comes to mental health.
“Together, we can tackle stigma head-on and show that it’s okay to speak up and ask for support. I’d like to offer a huge thanks to everyone at the club and all the fans for backing this cause – we’re all on the same side when it comes to mental health.”
Following our Charity Fixture, the match-worn jerseys worn by the first-team squad will be signed and auctioned to raise money for HEY Mind and their important work.
HEY Mind are the latest charity supported by the club through the release of a Charity Jersey, having previously supported the likes of the Motor Neurone Disease Association, the Steve Prescott Foundation, the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust, the RAF Association and the Yorkshire Scan Appeal, and most recently Alzheimer’s Society in 2024.
Hull FC Chief Executive Richie Myler, said: “The entire club is incredibly proud to be partnering with a charity that is so important to the people of Hull and East Yorkshire.
“Challenges with mental health, however big or small, will affect most people at some point in their lives, but the stigma around it still unfortunately exists, particularly in sports like Rugby League where many still struggle to speak up about the issues they may face; through this campaign we aim to encourage the Hull FC and Rugby League community to have the confidence to seek the support they may need during those difficult moments, and engage in those tough conversations.
“We’re incredibly excited to see both our players and fans pull on this stunning jersey over the next few weeks, including during our Charity Fixture which I’m sure will act as a fantastic occasion to highlight HEY Mind’s incredibly important work across our region.”
