This Mental Health Awareness Week (12–18 May), we’re reflecting on a simple but powerful truth:
Mental health is everything. It’s everywhere. And it matters to everyone.

It’s part of every conversation we have, every choice we make, and every one of us is affected by it.

That’s why, throughout the week, we’ll be sharing small, practical steps you can take to support your mental wellbeing – because good mental health isn’t just something we think about in difficult times. It starts with the everyday: checking in with ourselves, looking out for each other, and knowing where to turn for help.

Here’s what you can expect this week:

  • Simple, daily tips to support your mental health
  • Real stories from local people in Hull and East Yorkshire
  • Ideas for how to check in with yourself and those around you
  • Information on where to find support if you’re struggling

At Hull and East Yorkshire Mind, we’re here to help. From one-to-one support and counselling to housing services, peer groups, and resources for young people – we offer a range of support services for whatever you’re facing.

Let’s make sure no mind is left behind.
