Far too many of us aren’t getting the help we desperately need. People tell us they feel overwhelmed and hopeless, that things will never change.
That’s why for Mental Health Awareness Week 2024, we’re calling on everyone to raise awareness and vital funds so that we can move closer to a future where no mind is left behind.
Every year, 1 in 4 of us will experience a mental health problem. Many of us are speaking more openly about our experiences and seeking support. But there are still so many people urgently waiting, not getting the help they need.
Over 2 million people are waiting for NHS mental health services, and since 2017 the number of young people struggling with their mental health has nearly doubled. People tell us they feel overwhelmed and hopeless, that things will never change. They need support now and with your help we can build a better future for us all, where mental health is handled right.
That’s why for Mental Health Awareness Week 2024, we are joining forces with Mind and local Minds across the country for #NoMindLeftBehind.
Get involved this Mental Health Awareness Week:
Raise vital funds
We need your help to raise vital funds so that Hull and East Yorkshire Mind can help more people through our helplines, counselling and community support. No one should have to struggle alone. With your help, we can be there for more people who need us.
With your support, we can build a better future for us all and make sure that no mind is left behind.
Sign up for a fundraising event
By raising money for Hull and East Yorkshire Mind, more people experiencing poor mental health get the support they need and the respect they deserve – and that’s a very big deal. So thank you.
Fundraise on your own, with friends and family, classmates or work colleagues. Every penny you raise matters, and however you choose to fundraise, we’re here to help you get started. Whether you want to take on a running challenge, hold a bake sale, dive out of a plane or hold a coffee morning, there are many ways to raise funds for us.
Book mental health training at your workplace
1 in 6 people will experience a mental health problem at work every single year. We can support employers to make mental health a priority in the workplace.
We have many ‘off the shelf’ offers available ranging from one off courses, workshops and one to one activity which we would be happy to talk to you about. However, by working with organisations and their employees to fully understand their needs, we can present a solution that is tailored and unique to them.
