We have support groups running in Beverley, Withernsea, Bridlington, Hedon, Pocklington, Goole and Hessle that help individuals learn skills enabling them to cope and improve their mental wellbeing.
Our groups can be facilitated online and face to face. Please note that all of our face to face sessions are Covid-19 safe and adhere to the most up to date guidelines.
Our ‘Ways 2 Wellbeing’ programme runs for 6 weeks and provides individuals with the tools needed to keep well. Each session includes time to discuss interesting topics and also time to make friends over a cuppa and a biscuit. Some of the topics we cover are confidence building, anxiety management and money management.
We also have a peer support group designed to give individuals the tools and techniques to recover and stay well. The group puts emphasis on building supportive relationships between group members and exploring ways of managing mental well-being through mindfulness and relaxation.
This is what an individual who took part in our support groups had to say,
“Coming here to the sessions has had an immense effect on my life. I have met others who experience the same issues as me. I am extremely pleased with the workshops and it serves a very valuable purpose.”
